trichrome blue: an update

since this blog hasn't been updated in a while, i figure it's time to post a little update on how things have gone with trichrome blue since the last post in november 2009.

trichrome blue wins HKU award

in december 2009, i was awarded the HKU award for my graduation project. not only was it a huge honor but also a useful career boost since it won me 5,000 euro, something i still have stashed away for when i begin working on the other two trichrome animations.

trichrome blue is featured on the web + elsewhere

ever since i published trichrome blue, the animation was featured in many different ways, including:

• featured on the DVD magazine Stash (issue 65)
• played (and due to play) at various animation festivals, such as klik! amsterdam
• viewed 141,000 times on vimeo and featured as a staff pick

i'm very pleased with how the animation was received and the positive response has encouraged me to continue with this project, so thanks everyone! :]
